The rock crystal is of a rounded hexagonal shape with straight raised rectangularshaped handles, accented with an indented line forming the mouth of the censer and resting on four flared legs forming the stylised shape of an archaic bronze fangding . The censer rests on a squat wooden hexagonal ring base conforming to the shape of the fangding and covered with a wooden openwork cover.
